The Season 2 Finale is here!

The 200th episode and Season 2 Finale of Good Day Clermont! has arrived! We rallied the Connect Clermont team together for this special release to discuss the progress we’ve made so far. We also spoke about our hopes for the future of Clermont County and our organization.

The Good Day Clermont! podcast first aired in May 2023. Created by longtime host and President of Connect Clermont, Bob Pautke, the podcast has made a significant impact on the organization’s mission to become a people-centered resource. The purpose of the podcast was to promote the Good News, Good Deeds, and Good Works of real Clermont residents and business owners.

Celebrating Connect Clermont's progress and success!

Over the years, Good Day Clermont! has interviewed dozens of special guests, including:

Connect Clermont productions specialist H Brewer and branding coordinator Aubree Story joined us for the season finale.

Like many upstart nonprofit organizations, it can be challenging to reach the broader community without targeted goals and local support. Story explained that addressing this task was one of her first responsibilities when joining the team in 2025.

“We broke down the work, the vast work that Connect Clermont tries to do in our community,” Story said. “Good Works is our approach to making sure the youth in our community are inspired to connect with existing leadership, and steward the place we love so much.”

I expanded on this idea in the context of capturing the Good News in Clermont, acknowledging that people feel burnt out from the routine tragic stories fed to them by social media and legacy news outlets.

Clermont residents, and indeed the broader Southwest Ohio community, have expressed the need for hope and a belief in the future.

Brewer highlighted Good Deeds and how Connect Clermont has come into its own as a leader for the Agenda For the Future over the past several months. “Connect Clermont plays an important role in that; in helping share this Good News with the community, but also helping align values that make up the community members of Clermont County.”

When asked about what the mission of Connect Clermont means to us, Brewer recognized that Clermont County is a unique area with many different people and ideas.

Many communities around the Greater Cincinnati region are sometimes overshadowed by the goings-on of its dense metropolitan area, but Clermont maintains a healthy network of businesses, third-spaces, natural public and state-owned parks, schools, and more. With so much to see and do, Connect Clermont has placed a much-needed spotlight on our developing neighborhoods.

“As someone who grew up in Clermont County,” Story added, “I think the work that Connect Clermont does is hopeful [...] this work gives us a chance to see it and to be part of the work that is happening in real time.”

We had the opportunity to discuss our typical day as nonprofit contributors. I mentioned that having the flexibility to craft optimistic stories that cut through Clermont’s once-problematic “news desert” has been a pleasure. As part-time workers, no day at Connect Clermont has ever felt truly mundane.

Brewer explained the intensive process of recording and editing videos, a recent addition to Connect Clermont’s content stream.

Our team concluded with remarks about the future of Connect Clermont and the broader community.

Stabilizing operations with needed volunteer and financial support has been at the forefront of the conversation now that the Connect Clermont website is live. Our organization also manages student development programs like the Content Creator Academy and has awarded grants to individuals and nonprofits that help improve Clermont County.

As such, we hope that Connect Clermont continues to demonstrate its commitment to the community and to attract attention from those willing to contribute.

The mission of creating a safer and more vibrant community doesn’t end beyond Clermont’s borders. Ambitiously, some of us on the team would like to see our organization serve as a model to other communities across the State of Ohio and perhaps even the nation.

We would like to thank our existing community partners for all the continued support they have provided over the years. Your contributions have helped countless Clermont residents access the resources they need for their careers, personal growth, and wellness. These donations have also allowed our team to manage new systems to reach our community and promote events that keep the entire county engaged.

Let’s continue to make Clermont County a shining example of community cooperation and success!
