Snakes, Serpents, and Dragons!

Friday, August 14, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

 

Dragons are some of mythology’s oldest creatures! This Friday, they come to life at an interactive, educational event hosted by the Clermont Park District.

 

Learn about the origins of dragon and wyvern legends across time and culture. Then, join experts on a 0.5-mile hike to search for the very snakes that inspired them! You may be getting up close and personal with both wild and captive snakes, so wear appropriate hiking clothes.

 

The Clermont Park District asks that you keep pets at home during this event to protect local wildlife. All ages are welcome to participate, but attendees must register online before arrival.

 

 

Max Geers performs at Bishop's Quarter

Friday, August 14, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

 

Cincinnati-born songwriter Max Geers is set to perform at Bishop’s Quarter this weekend. Order a drink and a good meal with friends while you enjoy a laid-back night of acoustic music.

 

The restaurant offers a twist on classic New Orleans and Southern cuisine. Smoked chicken wings, hand-cut frites, shrimp and grits, steak, tacos, flatbreads, and multiple oyster options are all available on Bishop’s Quarter’s menu.

 

Cincinnati Hamfest℠

Saturday, August 15, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

Radio enthusiasts have been looking forward to this one all year. Cincinnati Hamfest is back at the Clermont County Fairgrounds this Saturday!

 

If you are interested in technology, broadcasting, and HAM radio licensing, this event is the place to be. You don’t have to have any experience to participate. Free parking and courtesy transportation will be available all day.

 

Hamfest will also offer breakfast and lunch, coffee, and more under its covered pavilion. Visit the website for more details.

 

Celebrating National Honey Bee Day

Saturday, August 15, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

 

Come see what all the buzz is about at the Clermont County House of Honey! Our friends at Love Our Land will host a fascinating seminar on honey bees and their impact on our local ecology.

 

Special guest speakers from local apiaries will share their insider knowledge about the industry. You may discover a new passion for beekeeping at the end of the event!

 

The celebration is free to attend, but RSVP before the date.

 

Yoga in the Park

Saturday, August 15, starting at 9 a.m.

 

Yoga instructor Andrea Louis is back to lead another weekend of community yoga and meditation at Sycamore Park.

 

Beginners are welcome! These morning poses are meant to be gentle and relaxed, helping you reconnect with your body and share experiences with like-minded neighbors.

 

Bring a yoga mat, water, and a positive attitude to this free event!

 

Charm at the Farm

Saturday, August 15, from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

 

Charm at the Farm is an outdoor vintage and antique market where you can shop for fun gifts, clothing, and more! Food trucks are available on-site, so grab some lunch while you’re exploring local vendors.

 

The 56-acre farm shopping experience supports local small businesses and encourages a fun, unique in-person shopping experience.

 

Don’t miss out on this event; it only happens three weekends a year! Tickets are available online. Kids 12 and under can attend for free.

 

Foraged Teatime & Hike: Sumac Lemonade

Saturday, August 15, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

 

Foraged Teatime has been a local favorite of Clermont residents over the past few months. Learn how to forage and brew with wild plants in this hands-on program. Geared toward adults, but all ages are welcome.

 

This week’s theme is Sumac Lemonade, a tart, refreshing drink made by cold-infusing wild staghorn or smooth sumac berry clusters in cold water.

 

This interactive brewing experience is free, but register online to ensure there is enough material for everyone!

 

Field Day! (Beekeeping 101)

Saturday, August 15, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

 

Join HappBee Acres Bee Supply for a day of exploration in the beeyard! Bring protective gear (veil, suit, or jacket) or purchase it in-store that day, and join the team for hive inspections.

 

You’ll get to see the art of beekeeping in real time, with Clermont County’s expert apiarists.

 

If it rains on both days, the event will be held the following weekend. Donations are always appreciated, but the class is free. Bring a chair and water to hang around after the inspection and chat underneath our big shade tree!

 

This event is geared towards beginning beekeepers, but no experience is required!

 


Glady Road band & Food Trucks

Saturday, August 15, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

 

Have you gotten a chance to check out Lyttle’s Food Trucks Village in Blanchester? August is the best time of the year to get out and try delicious food from local chefs. Whether you are hungry for lunch or dinner, Lyttle’s provides a relaxed and welcoming hangout spot for friends and family.

 

This weekend, Glady Road will be performing just steps away.

Florals At The Farm Event

Saturday, August 15, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

 

Relax at Losantiville Farms and learn how to cut and arrange your own premium flower arrangement! The event will start with a farm tour where you will meet a range of animals, hear about modern growing practices, and take a walk through the vibrant orchards.

 

The farm will provide light snacks and drinks (beer and wine) with your ticket purchase. Tickets also include a premium vase for your farm-to-vase arrangement!

 

 

Bethel History Museum - America 250 Celebration

In colonial times, social gatherings consisted of private assemblies, public balls, and afternoon dancing parties. George Washington himself was famous for his love of dance.

LMBC Blues Fest!

Sunday, August 16, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

 

Finish out the weekend at the Little Miami Brewing Company this Sunday. LMBC Blues Fest will feature Nashville recording artist Crooked Eye Tommy in an unforgettable night of lights and music.

 

Tickets are $20 per person, with food and beverages available à la carte.
